Michelle Bossy

Michelle Bossy is a bicoastal, Mexican American film, television and theater director.
She has directed the films Under the Lantern Lit Sky (feature), Friendly Neighborhood Coven, The Trespassed, Ladies Lounge, Miracle Baby, She Grinds Her Own Coffee, The New 35 and 18, among numerous others. She directed music videos for the band Yassou and Brooke Josephson, and the web series There’s a Special Place in Hell for Fashion Bloggers. She co-created the series The Broadway Babies Show.
Her theater projects include directing There and Back, Lady Macbeth and Her Lover, Sex with Strangers, Every Good Girl Deserves Fun, Sex of the Baby, Cloven Tongues, Un Plugged In, South Beach Rapture and Sarajevo’s Child. She co-created the musical High School Confidential for Primary Stages, where she was the associate artistic director for more than a decade.
In addition to UCLA TFT, Bossy teaches in the graduate dramatic writing programs at NYU and Syracuse University. She is a member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and a recipient of The Denham Fellowship.
Bossy holds the first undergraduate directing degree from Webster University’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts.
